Art and Aesthetic field trip to Guru Gopinath Natanagramam



Aesthetics, also spelled esthetics, the philosophical study of beauty and taste. It is closely related to the philosophy of art, which is concerned with the nature of art and the concepts in terms of which individual works of art are interpreted and evaluated.



It was our first Field trip with our whole MTTC Family to Dr.Guru Gopinath Natanagramam . We started our journey in two buses, at 9.45 am after Principal's valuable message and prayer.



Perumannor Gopinathan Pillai more popularly known as Guru Gopinath (24 June 1908 – 9 October 1987) was a well known actor-cum-dancer. He is well regarded as the greatest preserver of the dance tradition. He is a recipient of the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award.



Guru Gopinath was well tempered by traditional discipline, but he expanded the framework of tradition. He was instrumental in introducing and popularising Kathakali, the illustrious dance drama of Kerala, lying in obscurity, to the outer world.



We all entered the museum with great enthusiasm and excitement. Then we visited each cabin with the guidance of the staff there.We also watched a short video related to Theyyam. Theyyam is a popular ritual form of dance worship in Kerala and Karnataka and India. Theyyam consisted of thousand-year-old traditions, rituals and customs. The people of these districts consider Theyyam itself as a channel to a godand they thus seek blessings from Theyyam.




Today's day was unforgettable day✨🌸....

First day @ MTTC

  My Very first day in Campus        I have been enrolled for Bachelors in Education in a reputed college in Trivandrum i.e. ' Mar Theophilus Training College'. I always thank God for this blessings. I was little nervous at the beginning of the day but it doesn't lasted for a long because the nature of Mar Theophilus is very vibrant. Teachers and students are having friendly nature. So, I am very happy to study in MTTC.                    It was a rainy day. My first class, first period was taken by Maya mam. Her class started with a song by Kavya about rain. I and the entire student teachers enjoyed it. Then Maya Ma'am taught us about the topic  "Teacher and Education".  She taught us the meaning of education and the characteristics of education.  Then the second period was taken by Ancy Ma'am.
